1960's Judit Nador for Zsolnay Iridescent Fish Ceramic with Eosin Glaze

An iridescent ceramic fish sculpture designed by Judit Nador for the Hungarian porcelain manufacturer Zsolnay in the 1960s. Using the eosin glaze that Zsolnay introduced to the world at the World’s Fairs in Vienna and Paris in the 1870’s, Judit Nador was able to give an exquisite iridescent metallic hue to this fish sculpture, typical of the eosin render. The beautiful color, featuring shades of yellow-green, will change depending on your perspective.
