French Louis XVI Style 19th Century Pareclose Mirror with Liberal Arts Symbols

A French Louis XVI style parcel-gilt and painted wood mirror "à pareclose" from the 19th century, with hand-carved crest, oval medallion within a rectangular frame and original beveled glass. This French pareclose mirror features an exquisite hand-carved crest adorned with musical instruments symbolizing the Liberal Arts. Roses fall along the sides of the upper rail with elegant finials on the sides. The outer rectangular frame has protruding corners and is adorned with rais-de-cœurs and bead-and-reel motifs. The center of the mirror showcases a graceful oval frame, decorated with petite beads, and connected to the outer frame through acanthus leaves and flowers.
