Fair is Pair ⁠
The living/dining room in our Charleston SC project is a classic double room with fireplaces at either end. There’s a niche bedside each one, so we searched for two of ‘something’ to nestle in. This handsome pair of chests was found on @1stdibs and shipped directly to our clients’ storage facility in Charleston... where, upon receipt, they were immediately misplaced. (!) Alarmed, we wondered how two large scale (and not inexpensive!) antique chests of drawers could just ‘go missing’, but that’s exactly what happened! Obviously they were eventually located and sit handsomely in their intended spots, so ‘the case of the vanishing chests’ is resolved... but not before shaving a few years off the lives of lead designers Lindsay and Tommy! ⁠
