A Black Forest Swiss hand-carved musical clock from the 19th century with hound and hares. This exquisite hand-carved wooden clock was fitted with a clock from Lenzkirch, Germany . In typical Black Forest fashion, the clock is skillfully carved with animals of the hunt and foliage. Built around the central wooden clock adorned with Roman numbers (note the number 4 written IIII as opposed to IV), the clock depicts two hares in its lower section. Climbing a hill made of tree stumps and branches, a hound dog seems to be focused on one of the hares. The clock is in working condition and plays music.
